How do I download the desktop calendars?
From the website
- Click the on the image you want and wait for the picture to load (this will be in the same window you are in) then right click on the picture and ‘set as desktop background’ (or ‘save as wallpaper’).
- If the image does not appear correctly in your window choose ‘stretch’ rather than centre
- Then click on the back arrow on your browser to return to our site. If this does not work, you may need to try the instructions below.
Windows XP
Click on the image. When the large image has loaded, right click on it and choose ‘set as desktop background’. If this does not work (due to security settings) then you will need to do the following:
- Left click on “download” and the image will then appear in a new window
- Right click on the image and choose the option to ‘Save Picture As’
- Save the image remembering the location and image name (ie ‘My documents’)
- Close the window with the image in and go to your desktop (where the wallpaper is displayed when you have no windows open).
- Right click in a blank area of the desktop and select ‘Properties’ – a box will appear
- Select the ‘Desktop’ tab and then click on ‘Browse’ to find the location where you saved the calendar
- Once you have found the image name, double click on it, and then click ‘Apply’
- The calendar should be displayed. To ‘set’ this click on ‘OK’.
Mac OS9
- Ctrl-click on the “download” link
- Choose the option ‘download link to disk’ and save it to a place you will remember.
- Open the Appearance control panel (Desktop pictures) and select the Desktop tab (picture tab).
- Drag the image on top of the control panel and click the Set Desktop button
Mac OSX
- Ctrl-click on the “download” link above.
- Choose the option ‘download link to disk’ and save it to a place you will remember.
- Go back to System Preferences, select Desktop & Screen Saver, click on ‘Choose Folder’ and navigate to where you saved the picture
If you need further instructions try the following
- Right-click on the “download” link above. Choose the option ‘Save target as…’ (Microsoft) / ‘Save link as…’ (Netscape) and save it to a folder you will remember.
- When this is done, minimise all your windows, right-click on an empty piece of desktop and a pop-up menu should appear.
- Left-click properties. Under the ‘Background’ tab, there is a list titled ‘Wallpaper’
- click on the ‘browse button, locate the file you downloaded, select it and click OK
If these instructions do not work then I apologise – and if you find a way to make it work then please contact us and I’ll amend these instructions.
How much is postage and packing?
Due to the increase in Royal Mail postage costs over the last few years, we have had to revise our postage and packing costs as below.
See below for details of our Limited Edition books
Postage/shipping on orders will be charged as follows:
| Destination | How | Approximate time to deliver | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK | Royal Mail | 2-3 days | 20% of the order value |
| Europe | Airmail | 7 days | 40% of the order value |
| Rest of the world | Surface mail | 2-6 weeks | 40% of the order value |
| Rest of the world | Airmail | 10 days | 60% of the order value |
Matching Set cards & envelopes you will see that the postage and packing on these is calculated at a lower percentage than shown above
Address books due the the heavy weight of these to post you will see that these are calculated at the cost to ship the goods to you (rather than a percentage of the value of the goods)
Canvas print orders can take up 14 days to be processed as they are made to order. Also, they will need a signature upon delivery so please specify an address where someone will be able to sign for it.
Most orders will be processed and despatched within 7 working days, but please note that your choice of shipping will determine how long it takes to arrive.
If your order is urgent or for a special occasion please contact us and we will do our best to despatch to you by return.

Courier charges for the David Shepherd 80th Birthday Archive Collection Book
Due to the value of this book courier charges will be quoted separately once you have advised us of your location.
Books will be sent via courier, will be insured, and will need a signature upon delivery.
I can’t see the delivery cost in my basket?
On adding an item to your shopping basket, please choose the delivery destination carefully for each item.
- We ask you to do this because the shipping costs are calculated when you add the item to the basket, not when you pay.
- Note we can only deliver to one destination per order (see below).
- Choosing the wrong delivery destination for an item might result in a delay to your order since we have to have enough payment to cover delivery.
How do send to several different addresses?
Unfortunately, we can only deliver to the address that you specify when you pay for your order and we can’t process multiple delivery destinations for an individual order – but:
- You can make several separate orders putting the address where we should send the item to in the NOTES section of Pay Pal
- If it is a simple order for example: you order 2 calendars and want one to be sent to a different address please put this in the NOTES section of Pay Pal – or you can email us direct giving us the details and we can send for you
- Or you can contact us direct and we’ll gladly assist you or make several separate orders.
How can I find out how much my order will be in a different currency?
If you want to know roughly how much your order will be in your own currency – you can use the currency converter below, or you can do a search on ‘Currency Converter’ and use one of the results – or you can click here
What are the last posting dates for Christmas?
To find out the last posting dates from the UK for your parcel to arrive in time for Christmas* please click here.
- Although we will do our best to send them out within 2-3 days of receiving your order we cannot guarantee that it will arrive in time.
If you order is urgent please do call us and you can place your order over the telephone and pay by credit/debit card for next day delivery.
